I’ve spent the last 15 years in the aerospace industry solving large-scale, complex software engineering and IT problems in the space (Space Shuttle, Space Station, Crew Space Transportation) and renewable energy (Microgrids and Smart Grids) domains. I am excited to work on projects which will help answer the deepest questions about our universe and our existence. I work on systems that will positively change the world for all humanity.
I am passionate about working at the intersection of the arts, science, design, education and technology. In my free timeI produce music, build robots, interactive lighting, contribute to the open source community and much more. I am an internationally exhibited visual artist and have collaborated with artists and musicians on interactive stage lighting as well as music video production and direction.
(some of my work is here www.arbitraryy.com)
I’ve spent a significant portion of my free time over the last 8 years developing mathematics curriculum and teaching at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising. Inspiring fashion students to the wonders of maths is a fun challenge.
I am also passionate about education and humanitarian work. I have been an active participant in local community engineering week events for the last 10 years. I have also spent the last year developing curriculum and teaching computer and software skills to homeless women in the Downtown Los Angeles community.
I love collaborating with designers, artists, and other engineers who incorporate technology into their works. Reach out…
